I led a comprehensive redesign of the Wahed Invest website’s home landing page. Wahed is a leading Islamicfintech company offering ethical and Sharia-compliant investment solutions. The primary objective of this project was to create an engaging and informative landing page that effectively communicates the core features of the platform, such as “How It Works,” “Multiple Accounts for Goal-Based Investment,” “Investment Calculator with Portfolio Returns,” “Security,” and “Testimonials.

Project Scope

Research Phase

User Interviews: We conducted interviews with existing Wahed Invest users to understand their preferences, pain points, and what information they considered most important when visiting the website’s landing page.

Competitor Analysis: We analyzed the websites of other investment platforms to identify design elements and content strategies that resonate with potential users.

Information Architecture: We restructured the content on the landing page to create a logical flow that guides users through the platform’s core features.

Prototyping: High-fidelity interactive prototypes were created to demonstrate the proposed design, allowing for user testing to refine the user experience.

Visual Design

How It Works: A visually engaging section was designed to explain the investment process in simple steps, using graphics and concise text.

Multiple Accounts for Goal-Based Investment: Clear and visually distinct sections were created to highlight the ability to manage multiple investment accounts for different goals.

Investment Calculator with Portfolio Returns: We designed an interactive calculator that allows users to input their investment amount and see potential portfolio returns, reinforcing the benefits of using Wahed.

Security: A dedicated section was created to emphasize the platform’s security measures, reassuring users of the safety of their investments.

Testimonials: Real user testimonials were prominently displayed, adding credibility and trustworthiness to the platform.

Development Phase

Development: I developed a landing page in Gatsby with styled components and SCSS, following BEM architecture. Close collaboration with the development team ensured that imported portfolio data was displayed accurately.

Responsive Design: The landing page was designed to be fully responsive, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.

Results

The redesigned landing page saw a 30% increase in user engagement, with users spending more time exploring the platform’s features.

The “How It Works” section received positive feedback for simplifying complex investment concepts.
